In the photos shared on Friday, the actor is seen wearing a Chennai Super Kings jersey with the number 7 on it. IYKYK. For those who don’t know, Chennai Super Kings kicked off their IPL 2024 campaign with a six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. A day before the opener of IPL 2024, the Chennai-based franchise announced that Dhoni has handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad. Well, this news came as a shock to all the Dhoni fans out there. After all, this is “Captain Cool” we’re talking about. Ali Goni also expressed his feelings on Instagram with a photo. He said, “This is the last season of our Thala.. The Last Dance… Never thought this for anyone before.. Thank you Mahi. Ps – ALY GONI = 7.. THALA FOR A REASON.” Responding to the post, Ali Goni’s girlfriend Jasmin Bhasin posted a black heart emoji.
