Hey Karisma Kapoor, it was you By Ananya Pandey “Inspiration” for her recent look at an award show. How do we know? Well, Ananya herself admitted it. The Kho Gaye Hum Kahan The star attended the Grazia Young Fashion Awards 2024 on Tuesday, and ahead of the event, the actress offered a sneak peek of her OOTD for the awards show. In one of the mirror selfies posted by Ananya on her Instagram Stories, the actress can be seen in a black striped pantsuit, paired with a peak collar blazer and flared trousers. Ananya styled her hair in bouncy curls and opted for a choker to complete her look. In the next slide, Ananya put a throwback collage Karishma Kapoor on her Instagram stories. The collage included photos clicked when Karisma won the Filmfare Award for her performance in the 1997 film. Dil is crazy, then, Karishma slipped into an oversized beige pantsuit paired with a matching peak collar blazer and flared trousers, which she wore over a black top. Karishma completed her look by leaving her voluminous dresses open, followed by Ananya. Sharing the collage, Ananya wrote, “Inspiration. Karisma Kapoor.” Led by Yash Chopra, Dil is crazy It also featured Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.
Of course, this is not the first time that Ananya Pandey has called Karisma Kapoor her inspiration. Last year, when Ananya walked the ramp for designer Rimzim Dadu at the India Couture Week 2023 in Delhi, she said she has always admired Karisma’s fashion choices. In a conversation with news agency PTI, Ananya also revealed that she has pasted posters of Karisma on the wall in her vanity van. The Gehrayan The star said, “I grew up watching Karisma Kapoor’s films and have a photo of her stuck on the mirror wall of my vanity van. I just love her fashion. She always makes fun of it and sets the trend. She is a huge inspiration.”
