Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, who is busy with her entrepreneurial ventures and her podcast What the Hell Navya, took some time out to chat with NDTV. Navya Nanda revealed in a conversation with NDTV’s Abira Rao that her grandmother Jaya Bachchan is the “real star” of her What the Hell Navaya podcast. “She has become everyone’s nanny. People are now calling her naani in the comments. She is the real star of the show. Everyone unanimously loves to listen to her.” Newly said. The 26-year-old also revealed that her favorite part of the podcast was her brother and actor Agastya Nanda.

Meanwhile, during the latest episode of Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast What the Hell Navya Season 2, Jaya Bachchan opened up about how she and her husband, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, have to move with the times or else be left behind. This comes as Jaya, her daughter Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda discuss the changing times and different parenting strategies. Shweta mentioned that her superstar parents were “protective”, but not with Navya. Jaya expressed, “We were more defensive because we didn’t know any better. That’s what we were taught. That is how we were brought up. You were brought up differently. You will raise your children differently.”

After that, Navya Navya Navya Navya praised her grandparents – Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan – for keeping up with the times. “I think today, looking at you, looking at Nana, I think you’re older, you’re adapting to the times, and that’s a beautiful thing,” she said. Jaya emphasized that this is something they have to do “otherwise we will be left behind.”

On the work front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen as Dhanalakshmi Randhawa in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film starred Ranveer Singh as Rocky Randhawa and Alia Bhatt as Rani Chatterjee.
