Actor director Kunal Khemu is on cloud nine after his directorial debut Margaon Express It got off to a promising start at the box office. Summing up his experience of sitting in the director’s chair, The Golmaal again On Monday, the star wrote an elaborate note on Instagram. Sharing some behind-the-scenes images with the lead cast of his film, Kunal Khemu wrote, “From the first day of the shoot to the last day I said pack-up on the sets of Madgaon Express. Every day was so special. In so many ways. And I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team of actors and technicians. Friendship. Many colors that the film portrays and many colors of my own personality I got to explore through this film. Happy Holi to all of you and thank you so much for the love you have shown our film. After a promising opening day, Margaon Express saw a significant increase in ticket sales on its first Saturday. Overall, the comedy-drama has collected ₹4.5 crore in two days. Madgaon Express revolves around a trip to Goa in which three childhood friends go. All is well until things take an unexpected turn. The film stars Prateek Gandhi, Divyendu and Avinash Tiwari in lead roles. The film is backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.
On Saturday, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted a note on X (earlier known as Twitter) to share the first day box office report of Madgaon Express. In a review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee rated Madgaon Express 3 out of 5 stars. He wrote, “Madgaon Express, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, brings back the spirit of Dil Chahta Hai in important ways.
