Alia Bhatt can’t go wrong with her Met Gala look and we’re not complaining at all. On Thursday, Alia Bhatt shared new photos and videos from the fashion extravaganza. The first photo is a collage of various stages of getting ready for the big event. Alia shared a black-and-white photo focusing on the long train of her saree. From getting out of a car to posing for a flashlight – the video captures Alia’s many moods. Summing up the experience, Alia wrote, “Until we meet again #MetGala2024. Full behind-the-scenes link in bio.” Alia Bhatt wore Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree for Met Gala 2024.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt shared the details of her intricate and elaborate saree. Alia began her remarks with the words, “It was called the Garden of Time – an ode to art and eternity. Timelessness is endless, and we acknowledge that things created with time and care can last forever. The Indian interpretation of this universal theme on our journey, with the costumes took a life of its own.”
Talking about Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s craftsmanship and vision, Alia wrote, “Nothing beats tradition and innovation like a saree; in the skilled hands of @sabyasachiofficial, this vision found full expression. We looked to the past as a guide for the future, drawing inspiration. With the timeless sophistication of Indian nobility, hand embroidery, precious stones , includes a delicate nostalgia for hair and makeup. Woven braids and soft freckles – a tribute to the gentle love of the era.”
She concluded the note with the words, “Making it was quite an experience… fun and stressful in equal parts. It took a collective effort of 163 dedicated individuals, including skilled artisans, embroiderers, artists and dyers. On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigara. The film is jointly produced by Alia Bhatt’s production house and Dharma Productions. Alia Bhatt made her debut at the Met Gala last year. She wore a pearl studded white dress off the shelves of designer Prabal Gurung.
