Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff Bad Mian Short Mian 50 crore club has entered. On day 8, the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film collected ₹ 1.60 crore at the domestic box office. Sacknilk, followed by the film’s total collection (in all languages) to ₹50.15 crore, reports state. The film stars Akshay Kumar as Captain Feroze aka Freddy and Tiger Shroff portrays the role of Captain Rakesh (Rocky). Bad Mian Short Mian, which hit theaters on Eid (April 11), is a reboot version of the 1998 blockbuster film of the same name. Directed by David Dhawan, the film featured Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Bad Mian Short Mian Producer Jackie Bhagnani After watching the trailer of the film, Govinda apparently gave his seal of approval. In conversation with News18 Showsha, Jackie Bhagnani said, “Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) uncle was busy but I got a chance to meet Chichi Bhaiyya (Govinda) at his house a day before the trailer launch of the film and showed him the trailer. He saw it and said to me, ‘Your director is a very good man.’
Jackie Bhagnani added, “When I asked him how he could make such a guess, he told me that Ali had not made a film with Bade Miya Chhote Miyan but a movie. We all know that Chichi Bhaiya is a legend and legend. I grew up in front of him. And his words gave me a lot of confidence. It was just amazing. I am a creative person who is creating now. That made me very happy. We are all working day and night so that people like and appreciate what we have made.”
In his NDTV review, the film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave Bad Mian Short Mian 1 out of 5 stars. He wrote, “The story is incredibly hollow. Two crack soldiers, Freddy and Rocky, are court-martialed and dismissed from the army for insubordination. It’s not until much later in the film that the audience can understand why.”
Apart from Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, Bad Mian Short Mian Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the villain Kabir. Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F are also part of the film. Bad Mian Short Mian Released in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.
