Bollywood star Alia Bhatt made a strong statement on the recently released poster of Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, Alia Bhatt re-shared the poster posted by the film’s director Sharan Sharma and wrote, “Sharry can’t wait.” For the uninitiated, Sharan Sharma has previously directed Janhvi Kapoor’s critically acclaimed Gunjan Saxena. Sharing Mr and Mrs Mahi’s post on Monday, he wrote, “Excited to share with you the story of 2 people who love cricket as much as I do. It’s very clear why the jersey number is 7! 31st May 2024 … see you are in a movie.”

The new poster, introducing the main characters, shows Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor facing the stadium as they cheer for the Indian cricket team. In the poster, both of them are wearing a blue jersey with the number 7 written on it. Furthermore, the poster introduces the audience to the names of the characters Mahima and Mahendra played by Janhvi and Rajkumar respectively. The poster also carries a tagline that reads, “You don’t always have to live your parents’ dreams. Your life…” Sharing the latest poster, Karan captioned the post, “Time to follow your dreams, this field is yours!” followed by a glowing emoji. #MrAndMrsMahi in theaters on 31 May 2024.
