Alia Bhatt attended the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, wearing a stunning saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Hours after walking the red carpet, Alia Bhatt shared an inside picture with her dream team – designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, stylist Anaita Shroff and others. In a photo shared on her Instagram feed, Alia Bhatt can be seen flashing her bright smile as she poses with her team. “Teamwork makes dreams come true,” she wrote in the caption.

The theme of this year’s Met Gala was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and the dress code was “The Garden of Time” and Alia Bhatt’s Sabyasachi saree captured the essence of the theme perfectly. In another post, Alia Bhatt noted that the piece took “a total of 1965-man-hours” to create. “We embraced a delicate nostalgia for the hair and make-up – an updo coiffure adorned with intricately woven braids and soft freckles – a tribute to the gentle love of the era. Creating it is an experience… equal parts fun and stressful. The master craftsmen, embroiderers, A collective effort of 163 dedicated individuals, including artists and dyers, invested a total of 1965-man-hours in creating this saree, and I am extremely grateful to have embodied this masterpiece, a testament to boundless love and hard work,” read an excerpt from Alia Bhatt’s post.
