Bhaiya Ji Movie Synopsis:
Bhaiyya Ji It’s a story of a raging man. Ram Charan (Manoj Bajpayee) is a rich man who lives with his mother (Bhagirathi Bai) and brother Vedant (Akash Makhija) in a village in Bihar. He is preparing to marry Mithali.Zoya Hussain, Vedanta is in Delhi and will return the next day. He is in constant touch with Ram Charan till he reaches Delhi railway station. Suddenly, he stops picking the call. The next day when Ram Charan cannot contact him, he becomes worried. He gets a call from Delhi Police, Magan (Vipin Sharma) and Vedant has met with an accident. Ram Charan immediately flees to Delhi to learn that Vedanta is no more. Magan claims that Vedanta was very drunk and suddenly came in the middle of the road. This time he was hit by a car. Ram Charan refused to buy this story because he knew that Vedanta was not an alcoholic. And he is proved right when he meets Vedant’s friends who confirm that Abhimanyu (Jatin Goswami), son of Chandrabhan Singh (Suvinder Vicky) was killed by Abhimanyu (Jatin Goswami). As Vedanta was the world to him, Rama’s legs were broken. Ram Charan’s mother makes him finish the killers of Vedanta. It is revealed that Ram Charan was once a very violent person. He left it at the behest of his dying father. But due to circumstances, he had to take up arms again and fight Abhimanyu and Chandrabhan Singh. What happens next sets up the rest of the film.
Bhaiya Ji Movie Story Review:
The story of Deepak Kingrani is a common one. Deepak Kingrani’s screenplay initially shows some flashes of innovation. But it soon turns out to be flawed. Deepak Kingrani’s dialogues are fine, but in some scenes they are claptrap.
Apoorva Singh Karki’s direction is average. To give credit where it’s due, there are some compelling moments in the first half. One feels pain and anger when Ram Charan’s world is destroyed. The way Ram Charan lifts the spade is magnificent and exciting. The use of ‘Bhaiyya Ji’ symbol is unique and adds to the fun. The match between Ram Charan and Chandrabhan Singh is also memorable.
However, things go downhill in the second half. The first half shows Ram Charan as a man with a crazy following in his hometown. However, after being shot, Ram Charan remains alone and is treated in secret. One could argue that it was difficult for Ram Charan to get help as he was injured in the vicinity of Chandrabhan. But then how to explain the climax where the villain breaks into Ram Charan’s mansion and kidnaps his mother? Why didn’t Bhaiyya ji’s army attack the villain, knowing that he has thousands of staunch supporters? Also, the action scenes are not edited properly.

Bhaiya Ji Movie Performance:
But Manoj Bajpayee is in top form. He has entered the grand zone for the first time and yet, he has come out with flying colors. Zoya Hussain doesn’t have much to do at first but later she leaves an impression. Jatin Goswami and Suvinder Vicky do a good job as antagonists. Bhagirathibai is a bit over-the-top. Vipin Sharma smiles. Aakash Makhija ably supports. Jai Hind (Pandit) is decent. Anand Acharya (Bhola) and Amarendra Sharma (Niaz) are fine.
Bhaiyya Ji Music and Other Technical Aspects:
Songs don’t register anyway’Pretty jam‘or’Why bag?‘or’gentlemen‘or’Biography of BhavaSandeep Chauta’s background score is encouraging though.
Arjun Kukreti’s cinematography is neat. S Vijayan Master’s work has a southern feel and it works. The production design by Boshali Sinha and Rajat Poddar is satisfactory. Harisinha Nakai and Avni Pratap Gumbar’s costumes are realistic. Sumit Kotian’s editing is not correct. At some places the action scenes feel inconsistent. Also, the editor could have removed the scene of mother dipping Vedant’s bat.
Bhaiya Ji Movie Conclusion:
Overall, Bhaiya Ji relies on a good first half and Manoj Bajpayee’s strong performance. However, the film failed to impress due to a flawed script and poor editing.
