A statement issued by Bayview Projects LLP read, “Dear All, We have just received a copy of the District Judge’s order banning the exhibition of the film. At the outset, we would like to place on record that we have passed this order. Without giving us an opportunity to be heard, the District Judge has is an ex-parte order.” The makers said in a statement, “We were not served with any notice before filing this case for hearing the matter. Moreover, the order was passed after the release of the film and therefore any such order is passed as per law prohibits the release of the film.”
The makers added that they are filing an appeal in the Karnataka High Court. “However, we are filing an appeal against this order before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka. We will move the matter before the Hon’ble High Court for urgent relief to stay the execution of this order. As above, we are taking all steps as advised to us legally, please be assured that the screening of the film will continue. May be.
