Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been in the limelight for the past few weeks courtesy his latest offering – Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaarin a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the director opened up about his friendship with Salman Khan, who has also acted in many of the films he has directed. During the interview, Sanjay said, “I am still friends with Salman Khan. Inshallah, even if it doesn’t happen, he stands by me. He will call me; he will take care of me.” You messed up. And that’s what it’s all about.”

For those wondering, the two were involved in the production of Insha’Allah but the project stalled due to creative differences.

Talking about the failed film, the director said, “We may have had a fight while working, maybe our moment was not right and it didn’t fall in the right place. But after a month he called me, and I called him, and we talked, in that sense, for six I am very lucky to have a friend who talks once a month and picks up where we left off.

Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have worked together in such films Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Sawaria etc.

After the resounding success of Hiramandi, The director is now gearing up for the shooting of his next film love and war, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. The film is slated to release in December 2025.
