Sharmeen Segal He is taking the entertainment world by storm by playing the role of Alamjeb in Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaar. This Netflix show is the OTT debut of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is Sharmeen’s uncle. Contrary to popular belief, Sharmeen did not help her uncle in the Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone film. Goliyon ki Raslila Ram-leelain a recent chat with News18 ShowshaSharmeen revealed that she decided to work as an assistant director Mary Kom Because she didn’t want to get a chance to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali at that time. She explained, “I could have worked Ram Leela But I felt that I did not deserve the opportunity to assist Sanjay Leela Bhansali at that time. I was a complete newbie and knew nothing about filmmaking. So, I thought of going back to the set Mary Kom And see what I can pick up and understand and carry and then maybe I can help Sanjay Sir in some way.”

Sharmeen Segal also opened up about helping her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali First time on Bajirao Mastani. Explaining how working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali was a “privilege”, Sharmin Segal added, “I couldn’t just wake up one day and say I want to help Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I recognize that it is a privilege to do that. and from Mary Kom to do Hiramandi, What a journey it was!”
