Unmatched actor Rohit Saraf is all set to play the lead role Love reflexesreleasing on June 21, is the second film in the franchise. Ishq Vishk, titled by Shahid Kapoor. talking to News18, Rohit Saraf talks about stepping into Shahid Kapoor’s shoes and the pressure that comes with it. The actor, who made his debut in 2016 with the Alia Bhatt starrer dear life shared, “There is more gratitude than pressure. Because I feel like it’s an opportunity that a lot of people don’t get and I don’t want to diminish it by putting that kind of pressure on myself. Everyone is feeling the pressure everywhere, I feel like I should start taking the pressure because in all honesty, until today I wasn’t taking any pressure; It is not a remake of the first Ishq Vishk, it is not a sequel to the first Ishq Vishk. The only thing the two films have in common is that they belong to the same franchise. This is an entirely new story. It’s a love story about Gen Z, what they’re going through, and it’s very exciting.”
When asked if he got a chance to talk to Shahid Kapoor, he said, “I didn’t get a chance to talk to Shahid. But I would like to. So, if you’re watching this, Shahid sir, I’m going to wait for the day I want to talk to you, because I just want to say thank you.”
Apart from Rohit Saraf Ishq VishkRebound also marks the debut of Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan. The film also stars Gibran Khan and Naila Grerewal in lead roles.
Ishq Vishk Rebound is produced by Tips Films of Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani. Directed by the accomplished Avinash Dharmadhikari, the film is slated to hit theaters on June 21, 2024.
