Global icon Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra recently spoke about how her son-in-law Nick Jonas won her over in an interview with Filmigyan. Madhu Chopra revealed that Priyanka Chopra had not told her about marriage. “Actually, Priyanka didn’t say anything to me. I heard about her on TV and read in the newspaper that she was seen with Nick. Then I asked her (Priyanka) and she said, ‘No mom, I will tell you if anything happens.’ And I had complete faith in her. Then after some time she told me that she is coming to India for some days for work. ‘So, Nick wants to know, can he come along?’ I asked ‘What will he do in India?’ Is he coming here to travel?’ She told me that he was going to work on his song and she would go out for her work.”
Madhu Chopra added, “Then the two came. Nick was very calm and serious, so I never thought anything was going on. They never acted like there was something going on between them. Then one day Nick said he wanted to take me out to dinner. So, there he asked me which guy I want for Priyanka. I told him my checklist. Then he took my hand and said, ‘I am that man. Can I be that person? And I promise you that none of these boxes will be left open. I was so surprised and unprepared. But I was very happy because I realized that he is firm. I was happy.”
Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra has also expressed her thoughts on this. In a conversation with FilmGyan, Madhu Chopra said that the age gap doesn’t matter much to her. she said,There was no difference. Aadmi Achcha, Ladaki Achchi, both take care of each other, that’s alll Nothing (discussion about it). I have not seen it with our eyes, I was very happy, excited. What was said kept on saying. (Doesn’t matter. Guy is good. Lady is nice. I never saw their relationship like that. People will keep talking about it). This is what I say to every working woman. Making space for yourself is not easy. So, build your career but keep balance. But turn off all the noise around you.”
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their daughter Malati Mary Chopra Jonas in 2022 via surrogacy. Meanwhile, Priyanka was last seen in Love Again with Sam Heughan. Currently, she is busy shooting for Heads of State.
