Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh will be seen in the upcoming episode The Great Indian Kapil ShowTalked about his upcoming film Amar Singh Chamkila And shared that he felt that if he was from Punjab, he would understand Chamki better. However, Diljit said he “completely surrendered” to filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s vision.
Diljit Dosanjh said: “I thought that since I am from Punjab, I would understand Chamki better. But after meeting Imtiaz, I completely surrendered to him.”
“The way he stood, the way he spoke, the way he reacted and the way he thought, all Imtiaz knew because of his extensive research and homework on Chamkila,” he added.
The Great Indian Kapil Show streams on Netflix.
Amar Singh Chamkilais a Hindi biographical drama, also starring Parineeti Chopra as his wife.
The film is slated to release on Netflix on April 12.
