Richa Chadha pours her heart and soul Hiramandi sing An innocent heart is mine And it shows. A song that was a turning point in the fortunes of By Richa Chadha Lajjo’s character and serial was also not an easy process to film. The actress shared an extensive post, in which she wrote about her experience shooting for the track. Like most of the songs in ” Hiramandi, Lajjo’s final mujra is like a short film, in that it drives the story forward. The set was ready, the song was shot, and this was just two weeks before my wedding! Naturally, I was nervous, and I always joke that the heavy, albeit beautiful dress prepared me perfectly for my wedding,” wrote Richa Chadha.

Earlier Richa Chadha said that she was offered a different role in the show but chose the role of Lajjo. The actress shared that despite being offered a role with more screen time, she decided to play Lajjo because of the complex arc of her character in the series.

Hiramandi opened to stellar reviews. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee rated the series 3 out of 5 stars and wrote, “Bhansali draws the best out of the six main members of the cast – Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari. Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Sharmeen Segal.” He added,Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaar All pomp and show. Both nostalgic and elegiac, it has a core that is worth more than all the glitz and glamor of its packaging.”
