Sutapa Sikdar Remembered by her late husband, the actor Irfan Khan, with a moving post on his fourth death anniversary. She posted a throwback photo with Irrfan Khan on Instagram. Sutapa Sikdar opens up about living without him in her heartfelt note. She wrote, “It’s been 4 years and three days since Irrfan left me. four years? A feeling of guilt spreads through my body. For 4 years we lived without him in sadness, fear, despair and utter helplessness. And then I thought but still I lived more with him. I’ve known him since 1984 so that’s 36 years of knowing him and surely I would have spent more time with him without him until I died.” On 29 April 2020, Irrfan Khan passed away in a hospital in Mumbai.
Sutapa Sikdar added, “And then I thought how would our interaction have been if he was with me in 2024? Because that’s what I miss the most.” Imagining the conversation, she said, “He (Irrfan Khan) will mostly be coming home from the shoot in 2024 and petting our cat and reading.
