Meanwhile, in one ndtv reviewFilm critic Saibal Chatterjee said Mr. and Mrs. Mahi 2 out of 5 stars and said, “Mr & Mrs Mahi is a mix of cricket and marriage, a sports melodrama that relies on action on the field of play and plenty of reaction to it, mostly in the relationship realm. runs into difficult territory.”
“Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film is about sports but it also gets caught up in the story of marital discord when thwarted ambitions collide with repressed emotions. The story is unusual to tell but the treatment is no major departure from the norm,” added Saibal Chatterjee.
