A week’s box office report card of Mr. and Mrs. Mahi Finally here it is. The Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer recorded a drop in its collection on its first Thursday. On day 7, the Sharan Sharma-directed film collected Rs 1.75 crore at the domestic box office. After five days in the theatre, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi 20 crore mark has been crossed. Celebrating the big feat, Rajkummar Rao released the poster of his film and thanked the fans. The poster was shared with the text, “Scoring big with love. ₹ 21.19 crore. The actor wrote, “Meher. thank you Mr. and Mrs. Mahi He’s getting all the love he really deserves. Now in cinemas.”
Meanwhile, in an NDTV review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee said: Mr. and Mrs. Mahi 2 out of 5 stars and said, “Cricket and marriage get in a weird mix Mr. and Mrs. MahiA sports melodrama that relies on action on the field and plenty of reaction to it, mostly in the realm of a relationship that treads on tricky territory.”
“Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film is about sports but it also gets caught up in the story of marital discord when thwarted ambitions collide with repressed emotions.
