Veteran actor Kabir Bedi has made a big announcement for his granddaughter Alia F’s new film with Srikanth. After watching the film, Kabir Bedi wrote a post of appreciation on his Instagram feed. Kabir Bedi wrote, “Watch Srikanth!!! @rajkummar_rao gives his best performance as a blind man, a real-life hero with an amazing story. @alayaf does a brilliant job as the girl who loves him, showcasing her incredible versatility. Credits to Sightsaversin As brand ambassador, I salute “Shrikanth” for @TSeries. FYI, Alia’s mother is Kabir Bedi’s daughter.
Srikanth received largely positive reviews. His critic Saibal Chatterjee for NDTV wrote, “Srikanth tells a remarkable story of a young man endowed with exceptional vision and determination but does not fail to draw attention to the fragile moments in Srikanth Bolla’s life when he approaches uncertainty. His confidence turns to arrogance and success to depression.”
In an interview to PTI, Rajkummar Rao, who plays the real-life character Srikanth Bolla in the film, recalled meeting the visually impaired tech entrepreneur. Rajkumar said, “He’s smart, confident, cute and loves to talk… I was totally amazed because he believes so much in everything in life. Sometimes I ask him (director Hiranandani) ‘Are you sure he’s blind?’ ?As if he is more normal than us’.
On the work front, Alaya Furniturewala was last seen in a big miyan choti miyan. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Manushi Chhillar in important roles.
