Actress Konkona Sen Sharma recently shared some nostalgic photos of her mother Aparna Sen from the 1989 film. SatiIn which Shabana Azmi played the lead role.

In the pictures, Tarun Konkona looks ravishing in a pink saree, nose ring, bangles and earrings, enacting her role in the film.
Sati Shabana Azmi plays Uma, a mute woman who marries a banyan tree because of her ‘horoscope’ and her husband dies. Aparna Sen’s feminist approach in the film received critical acclaim. Along with Konka, Arun Banerjee also played a role in the film.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Konka was last seen in Manoj Bajpayee co-starrer ‘Killer Soup’ which released on Netflix in January.
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the series revolves around Swati Shetty (played by Konkana), a budding cook who wants the whole world to enjoy her soup. An accident that finds her and her partner in hot water sets off a chain reaction of accidents and frantic cover-ups.
