Hiramandi Star Richa Chadha is currently in the third trimester of her pregnancy and will give birth to her baby boy in July. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the actor, however, revealed that he plans to resume work by October after his maternity leave. “I plan to join the work by October,” she said. Continuing, Chadha said, “We are planning to start shooting the autumn season and the sky of Himachal in the pre-production stage and the work is not stopping.
Asked if her husband also plans to take paternity leave after the birth of their son, she said, “You’d have to ask him that, but he’s very hands-on and is giving time accordingly to his work commitments. I think a father should always be around. It’s not just about helping the mother, it’s also about spending time with the child.”
In February, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together. The actors posted a picture that simply read “1+1=3.” In the second slide in the Carousel post, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are seen posing together. He captioned the post, “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.” See here:
On the work front, Richa Chadha recently starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Heeramandi. She played the role of a courtesan Lajjo in this serial. Despite her limited screen presence, Richa won applause from the audience and critics for her performance.
