Bollywood actress Mrinal Thakur was recently seen in the movie Family Star She opened up about her discomfort with doing intimate scenes on screen, with Vijay Deverakonda. In an interview with iDiva, the actress shared how she missed out on many films because her parents wouldn’t approve of them and she wasn’t comfortable with them either. Mrinal said: “I was not really comfortable doing scenes that were intimate as well as romantic. I would be scared, I would just say no to the movie, but how long can I say no? There was a point where I had to sit down with my parents and tell them, ‘Dad, I can’t miss an episode because sometimes it is, it’s not my choice.
She added, “As much as I wanted to do the film, I had to give it up because it had a kissing scene. As an actor, you have to be prepared because sometimes it’s demanding (of the scene). If you’re not comfortable, you can say, you can talk about it, but I kept missing films because of it.”
In an earlier interview with Humans of Bombay, the Love Sonia actress opens up about finding work-life balance. “Balance between life and career is important but you are always trying to figure out how to achieve that balance.
