The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Aamir Khan made a guest appearance. Aamir’s sisters Nikhat Khan and Farhat Khan were sitting in the audience during the show. Aamir introduces his sisters and mentions how Nikhat is a talented actress who starred in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film. Pathanhe said, “Nikhat Jo Hai, Hai Hai Gulabi, Meri Badi Behan. Have you seen your way? In the movie Pathan there is a woman who tells Shah Rukh Khan that from today you are a Pathan and he is punished. She is my wife. (Nikhat sitting in pink is my elder sister. Did you see? Pathanin the film Pathan, there is a woman who tells Shah Rukh Khan that from now on you are a Pathan and she ties an amulet around him. That woman is my sister.)” The audience clapped and cheered as Aamir made this announcement.

During the same episode, Aamir Khan shared a funny anecdote about his ex-wife Reena Dutta slap him. He said, “The day Junaid was to be born. Reena was in labor pains. We were in the hospital. And being a good husband I did some breathing exercises. I tried to calm her down as the labor intensified. But I was slapped, ‘Stop this nonsense!’ Reenaji was in great pain. She even bit my hand.”
Aamir Khan also mentioned how he respected his wife during that time as an actor. He added, “It was only later that I realized what was going on around me. One thing I noticed is when a person is in a lot of pain… like what women go through during childbirth. I didn’t even plan this. This is only happening to me. I looked at Reena’s face and when she was in pain… normally you think a person’s face is in pain… but not so. When the pain is immense, the expression is one of surprise. It is unbelief. A person is in denial. She could not understand the intensity of her pain. Which I have noted as an actor. Later, when I got home with Junaid, I told Reena this, and she was furious! (Laughs).”
Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta got married in 1986. They got divorced in 2002 after 16 years. They are co-parents to their children – Junaid and Ira Khan. After that, Aamir married Kiran Rao in 2005. Aamir has a son named Azad with Kiran. Aamir and Kiran separated in 2021.
