Actress Pratibha Ranta, who is being praised for her role as Pushpa Rani/Jaya in the Kiran Rao directorial. Laapataaa ladiesSanjay Leela was also a part of Bhansali’s Netflix debut project Hiramanditalking to Indian Express, the actress shared her experience of shooting for both films simultaneously. She said, “It was a very magical experience. When I went to shoot for Hiramandi, I got to experience a different world. Hiramandi had a huge set and the approach of both the characters was very different for me. It’s Jaya. She thinks a lot before acting. There are four eyes because she is doing something like this.
“But somewhere, in both, I had the feeling that I wanted to have the freedom to do what I wanted to do,” Pratibha added.
For undisturbed, in Laapataaa ladiesPratibha played the role of Jaya – a young woman who gets married against her will HiramandiShe played Shama, the daughter of a courtesan, played by Sanjeeda Shaikh.
About her future aspirations, Pratibha expressed her desire to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again. “I really want to work more with Sanjay sir. Next time I want to work with Sanjay sir on a bigger scale. I have seen Alia and Deepika. Oh my gosh, I love Ramli so much. I want to dance too. I want to dance with an open mind,” she shared.
