UNICEF India’s Global Goodwill Ambassador Priyanka Chopra gave a big shout out to Kareena Kapoor, who was appointed National Ambassador by UNICEF India. Sharing a photo of Kareena Kapoor, in which she is seen signing a paper, Priyanka wrote, “Welcome to the family. Well deserved.” Priyanka Chopra has shared a post on her Instagram stories. FYI, Priyanka Chopra worked as a National Ambassador for UNICEF India for ten years before joining the Global Goodwill Ambassador team in December 2016. Kareena Kapoor has been associated with UNICEF India since 2014, reported news agency ANI.

After being entrusted with such a huge responsibility, Kareena Kapoor expressed her gratitude. Speaking at the event, she said, “I am very honored and very humbled to accept this position. I have worked tirelessly and worked very hard. And now, finally, I am joining them as the National Ambassador. But of course, every child from every corner of India, no matter how Vulnerable, wherever it is, wherever it is… It is a huge responsibility that I accept from my heart to ensure that, I do not specify gender, I do not want, voice or no voice, able or disabled … I every child Specifies that I will strive to get them their fundamental rights…” ANI quoted Kareena Kapoor as saying.

Kareena added, “Every child deserves a fair chance in life, the first five years of their life are their foundation. Every child deserves a childhood, the first five years, I repeat again, the most important and formative years. They deserve it. A right – right to gender equality, right to education, primary education, safe environment, health and nutrition are fundamentally entitled to a fair chance in life…” reported ANI.

Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra worked together in the 2004 film objection With Akshay Kumar. Kareena was last seen on the work front crew, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, Crew revolves around the journey of three working women against the backdrop of the airline industry. Kareena Kapoor will be seen in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders. She will also headline Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’.
