Rajkummar Rao is currently promoting his upcoming film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, Recently revealed about the tradition he inherited from his late mother. Rajkumar’s mother Kamal Yadav passed away in 2026. The actor revealed that he fasts every Friday, inspired by his late mother. Curly tales, “I fast on Fridays. My mother does something like that for Santoshi Maa. I have been following her since I was a child – I was 16 – and it has been a part of my life.” In memory of his mother, the prince tries to keep fasting within his strict schedule. “Sometimes, I don’t eat, and sometimes, when I’m working and I need a lot of energy that day, I eat one meal at night,” he said.

On her death anniversary, the actor shared an image from his wedding to Patralekha in 2021, where he is seen sitting in front of a photo of his late mother and kissing her. Sharing the photo, the actor wrote: “You will always be the best mother in this world Maa. I know your blessings are always with me. Missing you everyday. I love you forever.” See here:
On another occasion, Rajkumar shared a photo from his childhood. He wrote a long note in memory of his mother. He wrote, “Mom, it’s been 5 years since you left us, but not a single day has gone by that I haven’t felt your presence. I couldn’t do anything in this world without you. Blessings and I know your blessings are still with me. And there is nothing more precious in this world than a mother.
