Suchitra Krishnamurthy shared a picture with Cannes-winning actress Anasuya Sengupta in her latest Instagram post. In the photo shared, Suchitra is seen wearing a white dress while the woman of the moment Anasuya wears a black suit. They are seen posing for the cameras. Suchitra also shared a photo with daughter Kaveri. Suchitra wrote in the caption, “Congratulations to @tphqltd & Anusuyasengupta for winning Best Actress at #Cannes. Proud moment for India. And proud moment for Mama that @kaverikapur finally agreed to come to the party with me. Last week, Anasuya shared a series of pictures summarizing her experience at the 77th edition of the prestigious film festival. An excerpt from her caption read, “Dress – bought quickly before the awards at the flea market in Cannes, because that’s what I do.” She mentions choosing pieces from fashion designer Arjun Saluja’s Rishta brand. Coming back to the images, in the first frame, the star is seen wearing a white dress and some chunky gold jewellery. Next, she poses with her co-star Omara and director Konstantin Bojanov. Anasuya She received a trophy for the Un Certain Regard segment for her portrayal of Renuka in The Shameless. The film is written and directed by Bulgarian filmmaker Konstantin Bojanov. Talking about her triumphant moment, Anasuya told Hindustan Times, “I couldn’t believe it was happening! But as I walked onto the stage in a daze and stood with my heroes, the actors I admired, it felt strangely natural to receive such a huge reception from my heroes. My hard work I am very grateful to the jury for watching.
shameless It was screened at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on 17 May. The film revolves around Renuka (played by Anasuya Sengupta), who manages to escape from a Delhi brothel after killing a police officer. Apart from Anasuya, the film also stars Omara, Aroshikha Dey and Rohit Kokate in lead roles.
