As the makers of the much awaited film, the fans’ excitement has not increased Mr. and Mrs. Mahistarred Janhvi Kapoor And Rajkumar Rao, recently dropped a new song titled Roya Jab Tu. This heartbreaking national anthem gives a glimpse into the emotional journey of a married couple with a passionate love for cricket, a shared love that also creates distance between them. In the video, we see Rajkumar and Janhvi’s characters navigating their romantic relationship, while Janhvi’s character chases her dream of becoming a cricketer, with Rajkummar’s character supporting her every step of the way.

As the song unfolds, it becomes clear that although their love for cricket is strong, challenges arise that test their bond. The caption reads, “A song that brings pure joy to your heart!”

Written, sung and composed by Vishal Mishra with co-writing contribution by Azim Dayani.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, acclaimed for his directorial debut Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, is Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s second collaboration after their successful venture in Ruhi.

Originally slated for an April release, the sports drama will now hit theaters on May 31, 2024.

On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor has an exciting lineup of projects. She will be seen in Dewara alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. She is all set to star opposite Ram Charan in Sunny Sanskar Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite Varun Dhawan and RC16.

On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao’s latest film Srikanth, which chronicles the inspiring journey of industrialist Srikanth Bholla, hit the theaters on May 10. Apart from that, he will be seen opposite Shraddha Kapoor in the family drama Stree 2 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Waala. Videos against Tripti Dimri.
