A video of Vikrant Massey A verbal altercation with a cab driver over a fare hike sparked a lot of discussion on the internet. Well, it turns out that the clip shared on Thursday was part of an ad campaign for ride-hailing app inDrive. Vikrant has been “appointed as InDrive’s brand ambassador for a year-long advertising campaign,” news agency PTI reported (more on that later). If you miss the ad, it opens to a cab driver recording a selfie video. he says,My name is Ashish. I am a cab driver. I have left my passenger at his place. And they are not paid. Often things are reversed. Misbehaving (My name is Ashish. I am a cab driver. I dropped my passenger at his destination but he is not ready to pay. He is arguing with me and using abusive language.)

Then, the driver moves towards the camera and we get to see Vikrant Massey. Hearing the driver, the actor asked, “Are you cursing? Why did you take out the camera bro? are you a threat What is Jayaz doing? How did this sudden increase in money happen? This won’t work. (Using foul language? Why are you recording this, dude? Are you trying to intimidate me? I’m just discussing this topic? How come the rent suddenly went up? It’s not going to work.)

The video is part of ride-hailing app InDrive’s campaign – “It’s not an app anymore, it’s yoursi,” added the PTI report. Speaking about the campaign at an event, Vikrant Massey Said, “I am excited to be a part of InDrive India’s campaign as their brand ambassador. I appreciate the service that inDrive provides to its riders and drivers. inDrive is perfect, where people decide the fare between themselves instead of an app.”

Avik Karmakar, Senior GTM Manager at InDrive also shared his thoughts and vision of the company. He said, “This year, our focus is to launch InDrive in 5-6 cities. We are seeing a 3x increase in GMV, number of rides and user base this year. We have seen 200 percent growth in rides year-on-year. Rides are in lakhs in India.

On the work front, Vikrant Massey was seen last 12th fail. Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film was loved by fans and critics alike. Next, Vikrant will be seen in such projects Dear Jigri, Sector 36, Fir Ai Hasin Dilruba, And Sabarmati Report.
