Vidya Balan with husband Siddharth Roy Kapur

Acclaimed star Vidya Balan, while giving the mantra of the perfect relationship, spoke about how she never married herself until she met her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur.
Regarded as one of the best in Indian cinema, National Award winner and Padma Shri awardee Vidya married the love of her life and filmmaker Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2012.
Asked what, according to her, is the perfect relationship mantra, Vidya told IANS: “I don’t think there is one. At least I haven’t found it… The mantra is different for every relationship. No one will teach you this mantra.every relationship has a different mantra.”
Vidya’s understanding of relationships has evolved.
“Like 12 years of marriage and my dating years, my understanding of relationships has changed. My understanding of marriage has grown. I am not a person who (ever) saw myself getting married, but then Siddharth happened to be with me.
“These years have taught me and I’m sure I’ll continue to understand and grow as I spend time in a relationship,” she added.
However, Vidya shares a secret ingredient to keep the relationship strong.
“One thing I know for sure is that in a couple’s relationship, heterosexual or same-sex, you cannot introduce a third person.”
She added: “And I don’t just mean an affair, but another relative or friend. A relationship is only between two people. I have realized this over the years.”
Vidya is now gearing up for her upcoming film Do and loveWhich will release on April 19. The film also stars Prateek Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
