For all fans of Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaar, we have an exciting update. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s project will return for season 2. Yes, you read that right. How do we know? Sonakshi Sinha, who plays the role of Faridan in the Netflix show, announced the news by sharing a video on Instagram. The text attached to the video reads, “Mehfil to be held again, Hiramandi: Season 2 to come. (The meeting will be held again, Hiramandi: Season 2 is coming.) Sanjay Leela Bhansali Thanks to Netflix India for this wonderful birthday gift.” FYI: Sonakshi celebrated her 37th birthday on Sunday, June 2.
In the clip, a group of women are seen dancing to Hiramandi’s track Become gross, the fourteenth word, Sayyan Hato Jav, And Tilasmi sister. A sea of people recording the performance. Shortly after, a drone shot reveals a woman standing in a formation that spells out “S 2”. The background audio says, “The War of Independence ended on 15 August 1947. The Second Telephone War began. One came into the world and brought the gene war. (The freedom struggle ended on August 15, 1947. The announcement video comes a day after Sanjay Leela Bhansali confirmed his return for season 2. Diversitythe filmmaker said, “It takes a lot to make a series. This series has taken a lot. The publication also quoted Monica Shergill, VP Content, Netflix India, as saying, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali has intricately conjured magic.Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaar‘For life. Seeing audiences everywhere fall in love with the series – truly making it their own as a cultural phenomenon – is so exciting, and I’m thrilled to say we’ll be back with Season 2.”
Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaar Released on Netflix on May 1. The series marked the OTT debut of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Apart from Sonakshi Sinha, the show also starred Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha and Sharmeen Segal in lead roles. The plot was set in the pre-independence Indian era, where courtesans were helping the freedom fighters in their fight against the British rule.
